I am a clinical psychology Ph.D. student at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, as well as a speaker, writer, and educator. I hold masters degrees in psychology and clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and CSPP, respectively, and am training to become a clinical psychologist. My long-term goals include opening a private practice, teaching, writing books, speaking, and conducting research.
My current research focuses on the intersections of consensual non-monogamy (e.g., polyamory, swinging, open relationships) with stigma and minority stress as well as strength and resilience factors. Other research interests include sex-positivity, mindfulness-based practices, alternative sexualities, microaggressions, and school bullying. I regularly publish and present nationwide on these and other topics.
Clinically, I am primarily interested in psychodynamic, family systems, and mindfulness-based modalities. At this time I am seeking broad-based clinical training with a wide variety of populations and presenting concerns, with a focus on expanding my multicultural competence and experience. I am particularly interested in working with adults, romantic relationships, and families with an emphasis on relationship and communication issues, mood disorders, personality pathology, and sexual/gender diversity issues.
